Workers were laid off on transport in the San Francisco Bay Area in San Jose, California on Wednesday, killing eight people. The attacker was identified as 57-year-old Sam Cassidy, according to two police officers, and the district attorney said Cassidy also committed suicide. Authorities were also at Cassidy’s San Jose home, where firefighters reacted to the fire around the same time the fire was.

A prominent doctor, Robert Leslie, died with his wife, two grandchildren, and two air conditioning technicians who worked at home. Adams also committed suicide. His brain is currently being screened for possible degenerative diseases that can cause severe mood swings and other cognitive impairments in some athletes and military personnel.
On April 15, eight people were shot dead by former Indianapolis employee Brandon Scott Hall, 19, at a FedEx facility. Four of the victims were members of the Indianapolis Sikh community, and the deaths had new implications for the Asian-American community. Last year, an agent from the FBI office in Indianapolis Hall interrogated after his mother called the police and said his son could “commit suicide by a police officer.”
