Former San Jose Middle School Coach Arrested on Sexual Charge – CBS San Francisco

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – A former trainer and teacher at Sierramont Middle School in San Jose was arrested on minor charges for sex.

San Jose Police said Ronald Gardner was being held in Santa Clara County Jail on two lewd and lascivious acts at the age of 14 and two lewd and lascivious acts at the age of 15.

At the time of the alleged crimes, Gardner was an athletics / soccer coach and science teacher at Sierramont Middle School.

Investigators said a male victim reported this to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office on February 2
He was abused by his teacher while attending Sierramont Middle School from 2002 to 2005. The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office immediately referred the investigation to the San Jose Police Department.

In the course of the investigation, detectives also learned of a possible second victim. The victim also announced that she was harassed by Gardner during the same period.

On April 15, Gardner was arrested in San Jose.
