SAN JOSE, California (KRON).

“F ** k this place, god *** n liberal f ** ks”, you hear the pilot say on March 12th. “Eight cannons out here somewhere the way they are. F ** king crazy people who probably drive around in f ** king Hyundais, f ** king streets and s ** t that go as slow as f ** k. You ain’t got no balls unless you’re the king who rolls the coal, man. God **** it. “

A call for Southwest Airlines Flight 531 can also be heard on the chatter frequency at about the same time.

The plane left San Jose for Seattle at 6:50 p.m.

Southwest has confirmed that this was one of its employees.

The airline released the following statement regarding Nexstars KRON4:

“Our corporate culture is based on the principle of treating others with care and dignity, and the comments are inconsistent with the professional conduct and general respect we demand from our employees,” the airline said in a statement. “This situation was an isolated incident involving a single employee and not representative of the nearly 60,000 hardworking, respectful Southwest Airlines employees. We do not discuss employee matters publicly, but we do fully understand the situation internally. ”

The FAA also commented on the incident, saying it is still under investigation:

“FAA regulations prohibit airline pilots from speaking on topics unrelated to the safe conduct of their flight while taxiing and flying below 10,000 feet. The FAA is investigating the communication an airline pilot made while taxiing at Mineta San Jose International Airport last week. The FAA also reported the incident to the airline.

Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport is one of three international airports serving the San Francisco Bay Area.
