Man dies after taking pictures in San Jose; sixth homicide of 2021

One person killed in gunfire in San Jose

No suspects have currently been identified or arrested.

A man with a gunshot wound died early Thursday morning after a shooting Tuesday night in San Jose.

Police responded to a reported shooting at 8:44 p.m. on the 2400 block of the Monterey Highway. The officers located an adult male with at least one gunshot wound.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital in a life-threatening condition.

A little over 30 hours later, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Police say they have not identified any suspects or arrested anyone.

The incident is being investigated further. This is San Jose’s sixth murder in 2021.
