Man shot useless in South Bay marks 43rd San Jose homicide of 2020

SAN JOSE, CA – A man was shot dead early Wednesday morning, police said. The deadly shooting marks a grim milestone for San Jose as the 43rd murder in 2020, according to the San Jose Police Department.

The officers arrived at around 1 a.m. at the 4200 block on Senter Road near Coyote Road, where they found a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound, police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, SJPD Officer Steve Aponte wrote in a statement Wednesday morning.

Aponte wrote that no suspect or motive was known.

The victim’s identity will be released by Santa Clara County after the victim’s next of kin are notified, police said.
