Police are investigating a shootout that injured a person in the Stonegate area of San Jose on Friday night.
The officers responded to the scene of the shooting in Block 1200 of Simonson Way around 9:42 p.m. and discovered a person suffering from non-life-threatening injuries, the San Jose Police Department said in a tweet.

Until Friday night, police were still investigating a motive for the shooting and looking for suspects.
The city has recorded at least eight shootings since February 19, in which two people were killed.
The police did not provide any additional information on Friday evening.
