SAN JOSE – A man was injured in a shooting in San Jose late Monday, authorities said.
Officers were called at 9.45 p.m. to get a report of a shooting on West San Carlos Street and Mayellen Avenue, the San Jose Police Department said in a social media post. The intersection is four blocks west of Meridian Avenue.
The man’s injuries were originally described as life-threatening, but an SJPD update on Tuesday at 3 a.m. said the victim was expected to survive.
No information was released about the suspect or a motive for the shooting.
