San Jose Earthquakes is hosting a COVID vaccine fair on June 10th

The San Jose Earthquakes announced Thursday that they would be ready to go next Thursday the 10th.

Families are welcome to attend provided that at least one person needs their first dose of the COVID vaccine and is willing to take them there for the chance to get autographs from Earthquakes players Oswaldo Alanís, Carlos Fierro and Chofís Lopez.

“The earthquakes take public health seriously and we are working with Santa Clara County to further increase vaccination rates here in our community,” said Jared Shawlee, Earthquakes chief operating officer, in a statement. “By hosting a family-friendly event and unique experiences, we hope to provide access for people who have not received the vaccination by then.”

“The best we can all do to fight COVID is to get vaccinated,” said Dr. Marty Fenstersheib, Santa Clara County COVID-19 Vaccine Officer. “We’re excited to be working with the Earthquakes again on a family event that is fun and easy to get your chance.”

I have been vaccinated and I encourage anyone who is entitled to receive it and who for some reason has not received it to get off the fence and do it, no judgment. This event that the Quakes are hosting is a great opportunity and by getting vaccinated you are protecting yourself from the coronavirus but also helping to keep everyone else safe. So please make your way to PayPal Park on June 10th if you need your chance but haven’t taken the plunge yet.
