San Jose Police are investigating third fatal shooting in three days – NBC Bay Area

San Jose police investigated the fatal shooting of a man in the Santee neighborhood on Monday evening, the third murder in as many days as police said.

The shooting, which was reported around 5:55 p.m. on Sunday, took place in the 1100 block of Carnelian Drive near Santee Drive, police said.

It’s the ninth city murder of the year. The seventh and eighth murders occurred in the two previous days.

A man who was shot and killed near an elementary school in East San Jose on Saturday night died from his injuries, police said. Filming took place near Whaley Elementary School on Alvin Avenue south of Tully Road and east of Highway 101.

A man was shot dead on Friday morning on the 2800 block of Glen Keats Court in East San Jose, police said.

The police had no information about the shooters in any of the three murders.
