SAN JOSE – A legendary fast food restaurant in San Jose caught fire late Wednesday, the fourth time in recent years, authorities said.
The crews were called to the Wienerschnitzel at 2844 Story Road at around 11.10 p.m. to report a fire, the spokeswoman for the San Jose fire department, Erica Ray, said in an email.
Ray said the fire was brought under control around 11:30 p.m. and the crews cleared the scene about an hour later.
No injuries were reported.
It wasn’t yet clear what started the fire, but arson investigators were investigating the cause, Ray said.
According to Ray, at least four fires have been reported in the restaurant in the past few years. One of the most recent flames occurred in the early hours of April 6 when crews arrived to find smoke and flames from the roof. No injuries were reported.
