Say ‘Pleased Valentine’s Day’ with the assistance of Opera San Jose

Opera and lovebirds fans can say “Happy Valentine’s Day” in a very melodic way this year.

Opera San José is offering personalized virtual versions of the old-fashioned Valentine’s Day telegram this season for a donation of $ 85.

Donors will choose a classic love song performed by one of the renowned Opera San José artists and then have it sent to their special Valentines on February 14th along with personalized messages.

“Whether the message is wistful (‘Wise people say, only fools rush in …’), hopeful (‘No matter what the future brings …’) or passionate (‘Nobody else can end this longing …’), donors can offer melodic declarations of love to close or distant relatives with these exquisite virtual performances, ”says a press release.

Love songs on offer include “Till There Was You” by soprano Maya Kherani; Edith Piaf’s signature “La vie en rose” by mezzo-soprano Ashley Dixon; “Be My Love” by tenor Carlos Enrique Santelli, “As Time Goes By” by baritone Eugene Brancoveanu and “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by bass Nathan Stark.

The singers are accompanied by the pianist Veronika Agranov-Dafoe.
