SAN JOSE – Police are seeking help from the public in identifying a man suspected of chasing a woman in San Jose.

The suspect began tracking the victim at the Mission Grove Apartments on the 200 block of North Capitol Avenue on October 4, the San Jose Police Department said in a press release.

Police said the suspect appeared at the victim’s door eight times. She never met him, but he knows her name.

On December 3, the victim’s neighbors chased the suspect to his car, which was described as a black newer model Honda Civic, police said. He returned around 11:10 p.m. on December 28, but left before the officers arrived.

The suspect is described as a 30 to 40 year old white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in a light brown flat cap, black face covering, black leather jacket, light blue jeans, and black shoes. Pictures of the suspect were released on Wednesday.
